Annual Quality Assurance Report

In pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, the NAAC proposes that every accredited institution establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure.

Considering the significance of the Quality Culture in Institute of Higher Learning and being South Asia’s First University of Performing and Visual Arts, IQAC in Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh was established prior to its accreditation on 20 September, 2011.

Since its constitution, IQAC of the University meets periodically to access the system of quality culture and suggest procedures to improve teaching and research activities. In line with the NAAC’s predefined task about the IQAC “The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions”, IQAC understood the significance of mandatory assessment and accreditation of the University through the nation’s prime accreditation body NAAC.
